Introduction

“Ilu Ilu 1998” is an Indian Marathi-language Romantic Drama film which revolves around a 14-year-old boy who develops his first crush on his modern English teacher during his schooling days. The story of this film revolves around his effort to impress the English teacher and the challenges he faces with an unexpected twist when a sketch of the English teacher is found in the school’s toilet, which changes the course of events entirely.

This film also marks the Marathi Film Industry debut of gorgeous Swedish-Greek actress ‘Elli AvrRam’. The films teaser was released on December 16th, 2024 which unveiled that Elli AvrRam will be seen in a lead main role in her debut Marathi-language film.

The film was released in the theatres across India on January 31st, 2025.
