Archit Kaushik: Elvish Yadav’s Friend, The 50 Exit, Brother

Share

Archit Kaushik is a Gurgaon content creator and close friend of Elvish Yadav who was thrown out of Colors TV’s The 50 in its first week for hitting fellow contestant Maxtern. Free Press Journal described him as 24 years old in February 2026.

Before the show, Archit Kaushik was known mainly from sketches and web shows made with Elvish Yadav and Lovekesh Kataria. His single reality-show week, and the argument that followed it, is now most of his public record.

  • Known for: creator videos and web shows with Elvish Yadav; The 50 (2026)
  • Based in: Gurgaon, per Free Press Journal
  • Age: 24 as of February 2026, per Free Press Journal; no birth date has been published
  • Brother: Lakshay Kaushik, named as his sibling by Filmibeat
  • Left The 50: first week of February 2026, on the Lion’s exit order

One naming note first. A cricket statistics site carries a separate profile for a player with the same name. Nothing in the coverage of The 50 links that player to the creator, so treat them as two separate people.

Who Archit Kaushik is and what he makes

Archit Kaushik is a social media creator from Gurgaon whose following grew through videos and short series made with Elvish Yadav, according to Free Press Journal on 6 February 2026. That report put his following at around 607K at the time.

His screen credits are small web shows rather than films or television. Free Press Journal lists School Wala Pyaar, Badmashi, Gurgaon and Tuition Teacher Ki Beti Se Pyaar, and says Lovekesh Kataria and Elvish Yadav appeared in many of them. IMDb dates three of those titles: School Wala Pyaar to 2021, Badmashi to 2022 and Gurgaon to 2023.

The follower number moves with the news. Filmibeat’s contestant list on 27 January 2026 gave him 319K followers, so two reports ten days apart put his audience at very different sizes. Treat either figure as a snapshot of that week.

Is Archit Kaushik a friend of Elvish Yadav?

Yes. Every outlet covering The 50 describes Archit Kaushik as a close friend of Elvish Yadav and part of his group, and Archit himself said after his exit that Elvish played a role in getting his friends onto the show.

He explained how that happened in a podcast with GXN, reported by The Times of India on 10 February 2026. Lovekesh Kataria was the first person from the group to be offered The 50 and was asked to recommend others. Elvish also got a call later, turned it down and suggested a few friends instead.

Archit’s reason for the refusal was blunt: “Level alag hogaya uss aadmi ka”, meaning Elvish is now on a different level from a contestant. In the same interview he mocked Prince Narula for joining as a contestant, quoting Prince’s line about having won five shows and saying a person should maintain his level.

Why was Archit Kaushik evicted from The 50?

Archit Kaushik was evicted for violence. During an argument, Maxtern repeated old remarks about Elvish Yadav, the dispute turned physical, and the Lion, the authority figure who runs the game, ordered Archit out, Free Press Journal and Filmibeat both reported on 6 February 2026.

He did not last beyond the first week. Filmibeat listed him among the week-one exits alongside Vanshaj Singh, Saurabh Ghadge and Sumair Shaikh. Other contestants from the same season include Nakul Dhull and Prince Narula.

Archit has never denied the slap. In a podcast with the Faridabad Rockers channel he said he first tried to talk Maxtern down and hit him only after the comment was made a second time. “Maine usko bhot samjhaya”, he said, before describing the slap. He also denied rumors that Elvish was the Lion.

Fans on the show’s subreddit argued less about the slap than about consistency, since another contestant had been in a fight that week too:

“Then why wasn’t rajat evicted…this is how digvijay gets public sympathy as this becomes blatant biasedness.”

Maxtern’s side of the story

Maxtern answered after his own elimination. On 20 February 2026 he posted an Instagram video denying that he had abused anyone’s mother inside the house, Free Press Journal reported. He said Archit was using the same “mummy wali strategy” he accuses Elvish of using in 2024.

His caption read “Dear Elvish Yadav and Archit, stop playing Mummy wala victim card!” He argued that if he had really abused someone’s mother on national television, nobody would have supported him. At the time of that report, neither Elvish nor Archit had replied.

A week later, in a Free Press Journal interview published on 27 February 2026, Maxtern gave a softer account. He said Archit hit him and that he hit back, and claimed footage of his own blows was cut from the broadcast. He felt bad for Archit and called him “not a bad person”, but said Archit’s whole personality revolved around Elvish.

Both accounts as reported by Free Press Journal on 6, 20 and 27 February 2026. Neither version has been confirmed by the makers.

The two accounts still disagree on what was said. Archit says Maxtern insulted Elvish twice; Maxtern denies saying anything about anyone’s mother. Neither account has been confirmed by the makers in the reports cited here.

What Archit said after leaving the show

Out of the house, Archit Kaushik turned on the contestants who stayed. In the Faridabad Rockers podcast he said of Siwet and others, “Footage ke bhookhe hain ye log”, meaning they are hungry for screen time. He added that their careers would end if YouTube or social media disappeared.

He contrasted that with his own work, saying he makes content mainly for his fans and does not depend on the platforms, per the Free Press Journal report of 6 February 2026. He also criticized Maxtern for raising old incidents involving Elvish on the show.

Is Lakshay Kaushik Archit Kaushik’s brother?

Lakshay Kaushik is reported as Archit Kaushik’s brother. Filmibeat’s contestant list of 27 January 2026 says Lakshay would appear on The 50 alongside his sibling and co-contestant Archit Kaushik.

Lakshay is also a creator from Elvish Yadav’s circle, with 463K followers at the time of that list. Filmibeat is the only outlet found that states the family tie directly; the other reports describe both men as Elvish’s friends without naming the relationship. No outlet has published their parents’ names.
