“I am playing Riya Roy, who is a Honey Trap Squad agent. She is bold and beautiful, sharp and tough. I enjoyed playing this role; I haven’t done anything like this before. I have got an amazing response, and people love my performance in it”. 

She continued saying…. “Riya is not like me, but it was fun as I got to play something challenging, which is the fun part of being a performer. It was a good experience shooting this thriller”. Talking about her co-stars Sharad Malhotra and Karanvir Bohra, she said…. 

“I met Karanvir for the first time, and we immediately connected. Our first scene was the bedroom scene, but he is quite experienced and professional, so nowhere does it feel like we are seeing each other for the first time”. 

She further added… “We had that comfort level, and it was fun shooting with him. Sharad and I have worked together earlier, and we get along very well. I just had action scenes with him; I didn’t get to romance him in this project, but it’s always a pleasure shooting with him. We have an ease of working with each other, and we save a lot of the director’s time”. 

During the interview, she was also asked about the glam image that she precedes; to which she replied…. “I am glad I am one of those few artists accepted as Goddess Parvati in a television show and loved as Riya Roy in ‘Honey Trap Squad’. Talking about the kind of web-series she would like to do in the future, Akanksha replied… “I have already finished shooting for four other series, but I would definitely love to do something more romantic and intense in the future. We have never said that we are in love or displayed any romance. We were clear that we were looking for a life partner and preferably someone who has been a friend. But post the show, nothing has changed between us and we continue to be the same old friends that we were”.

She concluded saying… “We are protective of each other and respect each other. We both individually have had bitter experiences in life, so we are going slow. On July 3rd, 2023, it was reported in the English Jagran by Simran Srivastav in her article which stated how Akanksha got evicted from “Bigg Boss OTT – Hindi season 2” (Hindi: बिग बॉस ओटीटी – सीजन २) after her kissing controversy with Jad Hadid. After the Akanksha and Jad kissed on camera, veteran Hindi Film Actor and Superstar Salman Khan who is also a host of the show scolded them for their action and said that India is conservative but a forgiving country.
