Glamanand Supermodel India 2015 – Ayeesha represented India at the prestigious “Miss International 2015” beauty pageant competition, which was held in Tokyo, Japan after she had previously won the “Glamanand Miss India International 2015” beauty pageant competition which was held in October 2014. Ayeesha had succeeded Super Gorgeous Indian Model-Turned-Actress Jhataleka Malhotra as Miss International India.

Miss International 2015 – This beauty pageant competition was organised in Tokyo, Japan from October 16th, 2015 till November 5th, 2015; where Ayeesha was awarded with “Panasonic Beauty Ambassador of the year 2015” by Panasonic Holdings Corporation (formerly Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd). She was also presented with “Visit Japan Tourism Ambassador” by Japan Tourism.

Here in this movie, Ayeesha was casted as ‘Kamli’ along with Prateik Patil Babbar; Sai Tamhankar; Shweta Basu Prasad; Prakash Belawadi; Aahana Kumra; Zarin Shihab; Saanand Verma; Hrishitaa Bhatt; Anushree Kushwaha; Rewati Limaye; and others.

This movie was released on December 2nd, 2022 via direct-to-digital release on the ZEE5 OTT Platform. “India Lockdown” (Hindi: इंडिया लॉकडाउन) received some mixed reviews from the critics and audiences.

Ronak Kotecha of The Times of India rated the film 3 out of 5 stars and wrote “More than 2 years after the first countrywide lockdown in India, director Madhur Bhandarkar and his writers (Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah) have come up with a compilation of stories that are real and relatable”. Shubhra Gupta of The Indian Express rated the movie 1.5 out of 5 stars and wrote “…an older woman rescues a younger one from the flesh trade. The rest is just banal story-telling, with little new to say”.

Zinia Bandyopadhyay of India Today gave the film a rating of 2 out of 5 stars and wrote “Bhandarkar is an excellent director, and there is no doubt about that. But probably in his attempt to weave the story together, he missed other aspects like a compelling background score, or even performances, for that matter!”. Anuj Kumar for The Hindu wrote, “Madhur’s treatment of subjects is usually high-pitched and he paints his scenarios with broad strokes, but here, he has roped in a cast of competent actors to convey what is not there on the page”.

Her next film scheduled for release later in the year 2023 is an Hindi-language film named “Miss Massakalli Tripathi” (Hindi: मिस मसक्कली त्रिपाठी). The script of this film is written by Ayeesha S Aiman herself and the film is directed by Raaj Aashoo. Ayeesha who is considered as one of the “Most glamours upcoming faces in the Bollywood” said in an interview with the IANS that she read Gayatri Devi’s biography for her role in Inspector Avinash. Gayatri Devi was the third Maharani consort of Jaipur, who was once considered a fashionista. During her Interview, she revealed.

“I read the biography of Gayatri Devi, who was a fashion icon and was widely regarded as one of the most stylish women of her time. She was known for her impeccable taste in clothing and jewellery and was often seen wearing elegant sarees and traditional Rajasthani jewellery. She was a woman of exceptional beauty, intelligence, and grace. My character Nandini was inspired by the same”.

She continued saying that she also read the biographies of other women politicians too as a part of the preparations for her role. Ayeesha said “Nandini, my character, also revolves around power and politics so I have gone through many female politicians’ biographies to understand the diplomacy involved in power games”.

In an Exclusive Interview with Neha Vashist of The Times of India – India Times Entertainment, Ayeesha stated “When I started my acting carrier, I remember my first audition it was an ad film with Hrithik Roshan”

During that interview, Ayeesha was asker about her first audition, first project and her first rejection; to which she replied saying….

“Well, when I started my acting carrier, I remember my first audition it was an ad film with Hrithik Roshan, I didn’t know what to do in the audition I didn’t even know how to give a profile video as well. In short, I reached it without any guidance, and in the end, the casting director gave me a few tips for the audition. Kind of a learning experience indeed!”.

She continued saying… “First project, a friend of mine took me to the audition and I wasn’t aware of that project, neither had a clue of the characters the casting team was looking for, and there were many girls in the queue. When my turn came, I had given it. 2 months later, I got a call from the casting team that out of 150 girls, I was the one whom they had selected. It was a feel-good experience!”. 

She concluded saying…. “Rejection! Being an actor, you face rejection every now and then. Well, there were many rejections I have faced too. Talking about one project, that I will never forget. I cleared my look test, signed a contract, and was doing workshops with the team. It was already six months and I was exclusively signed up for that project, and all of a sudden production house stopped responding to my calls and texts and I got to know that I was replaced by a star kid for my role”.

During the interview, she revealed “I wish to act like Madhubala and Meena Kumari ji, “I am a big fan of Madhubala ji in films like ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, ‘Kala Pani’ and ‘Mahal’. I have seen the Meena Kumari ji in ‘Pakeezah’, ‘Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam’. Watching them, I get fascinated and mesmerised. They both were iconic heroines of their time and their beauty left audiences mesmerised”. She added… “I so wish to recreate the magic of these legends on-screen. Every time I watch these films, I get motivated and tell myself, I want to perform like them”.

Ayeesha added further “The idea that makes performers noteworthy is often influenced by other fortes too. Yes, talent is required, but it’s also crucial to be proactive, professional, able to network, and have a good outlook. It is important to take note of and consider your surroundings”. 

“I suppose my journey from being an Aeronautical engineering student to hear is a matter of my destiny, as I never expected to be a Bollywood actor. When I originally entered my first state pageant, I was just a young woman who wanted to win and show off her attractiveness to her friends. I remember being really pleased to attend the Miss India pageant when I was in my college and being surprised by how lucky I was. I had no idea that my destiny would lead me here and that one day I would represent all of India and serve as my nation’s ambassador. After that, I didn’t look back, and today I’m in the real world of imagination of being an actress”.
