The year 2018 marked the beginning of her acting career in the Indian Film Industry with her acting debut in the film Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. The song “Bom Diggy Diggy” from that film (Sonu Ke Tiku Ki Sweety) became very popular and stormed the internet in India. She also appeared in the music video for Armaan Malik’s “Veham”
In the year 2020 Sakshi approached the Bombay High Court against the Producers of a Telugu film “V”, as her photo was used as a commercial sex worker. The Bombay High Court in March 2021 ordered Amazon Prime Videos to remove the film as the photo featuring her as a commercial sex worker was used without her consent, which is considered impermissible, unlawful and entirely illegal in India. Acting upon the verdict, the Amazon Prime Videos promptly removed the movie from its platform. The dispute was finally steeled between Sakshi and the Producers of the film after a month.
