Aman Gandhi: Bigg Boss 20 Eviction, TV Shows, Age and Shagun Sharma

Aman Gandhi is a Delhi-born television actor known for Naagin 3, Bhagya Lakshmi and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. He was evicted from Bigg Boss 20 on 18 October 2026, after five weeks in the house and both of his lifelines spent.

His stay produced two of the season’s louder arguments: a “population” remark to Qazi Touqeer, which his team says was about gameplay, and his objection to Nakul Dhull’s questions about his sexuality. He gave his own account of both after leaving.

  • Profession: television actor; Bigg Boss 20 contestant
  • From: Delhi; moved to Mumbai in October 2015, he told the Times of India
  • Known for: Naagin 3 (2018), Bhagya Lakshmi (2021 to 2025), Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2
  • Age: 33, based on the 19 February 1993 birth date reported by Times Now
  • Bigg Boss 20: entered on 6 September 2026, evicted on 18 October 2026

Delhi, an automobile job and the move to Mumbai

Aman Gandhi grew up in Delhi and moved to Mumbai in October 2015, he told the Times of India in a 2022 Mother’s Day interview. His mother, whom he called the leader of the house, urged him to go and pursue acting, and his first show came the next year.

Before acting he reportedly worked as an assistant manager at an international automobile company, Times Now wrote in September 2026, and left the job to try his luck on screen. When he first reached Mumbai he shared a small flat with five other young men, he said in a September 2026 interview, and he now lives alone.

Times Now gives his birth date as 19 February 1993, which makes him 33 in 2026; the age calculator works from that date. He has not discussed his age in the interviews cited here.

From Naagin 3 to Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2

His debut was the youth dance show D4 – Get Up and Dance in 2016, followed by small parts in Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, Sasural Simar Ka and Kundali Bhagya. The first sizable role was Daksh in Naagin 3 in 2018, an accountant in a rich household and one of the show’s villains.

Playing a villain was a stretch, IWMBuzz noted, since he described himself as the opposite in real life. “I am very bubbly, laughing all over and jumping for nothing at all,” he told IWMBuzz in May 2018, adding that television kept offering him negative roles. Two earlier lead parts had fallen through before Naagin 3 came along.

Daayan and Prem Bandhan followed, according to Times Now. His longest run came as Ayush in Zee TV’s Bhagya Lakshmi from August 2021 to June 2025, the part that made him widely known, before he joined Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 as Hritik Virani.

That show still matters to him. He called it “a legend of a show” after leaving Bigg Boss and said he would always be proud of it. Its success also set up his next step, he told SCREEN: after India’s number one show, he felt he needed “a huge leap”.

Bigg Boss 20: the population row and Nakul Dhull

He had been offered Bigg Boss once before. The first approach came in 2022-23 for the OTT version, he told SCREEN, but he was the second lead in Bhagya Lakshmi and the makers would not release him. “I thought that after IPL, the biggest event in this country was Bigg Boss,” he said of the 2026 offer.

Season 20 premiered on 6 September with 16 contestants. Inside the house his closest friends were Uditi Singh and Arishfa Khan, Adgully reported, and he often advised both of them on the game.

The first big row came in early October, during an argument with Qazi Touqeer that also involved Scout and Yung. Aman told Qazi, “Muh se dhuen nikaal ke log pregnant kar rahe ho. Population badha rahe ho hamare country ki. Apni jaisi mat kar dena population,” as quoted by India Today.

India Today translated the last line as “just don’t let the population become like yours.” Some viewers read a communal undertone in it, while others said it belonged to the argument over Qazi’s gameplay. His team’s statement was direct: “His statement was about Qazi’s gameplay and strategy, not his religion or community in any way.”

A few days later the wildcard entrant Nakul Dhull asked Aman whether he was straight or gay, ETV Bharat reported from the 12 October episode. Aman said he was straight, and Nakul kept pressing the subject. When Aman raised it with housemates later, some asked why he had not objected on the spot.

He answered that question after his exit. “I felt very uncomfortable with Nakul’s comment,” he told SCREEN, explaining that he spoke up once the teasing carried on. More than the issue itself, he said, people focused on how long he took to react.

Two lifelines and the 18 October exit

Every contestant this season entered with two lifelines, extra chances against elimination. Aman lost his first after getting the fewest votes in a week with no eviction, the Indian Express reported. The next week he was in the bottom three again, with Mary Kom and Uditi Singh.

Salman Khan announced his exit on Sunday, 18 October. Uditi still held both lifelines and Mary Kom one, the Times of India reported, while Aman had none left. Arishfa broke down as he left. “He understood me a lot,” she said, adding that he would tell her whenever she went wrong in the game.

Online, the reaction was mixed. Some fans felt he deserved to stay longer than Mary Kom, while others said he had played too safely. A top comment under a 545-upvote r/biggboss thread on his eviction put the second view plainly:

“He’s one of those forgettable contestants in BB history. Nothing more to say. Accha ladka hai but no spice.”

What Aman Gandhi said after leaving

In his exit interview he said the house never saw the real him. “I couldn’t express myself properly,” he told the Times of India, blaming “too much pressure, a little bit of negativity” and the pace of events inside. To SCREEN he called that his biggest regret.

He was frank about his own mistakes as well. Asked by mid-day about remarks he had made on Kanika Mann‘s chin and lips, he said, “It was my fault. That was below the belt.” He also said Mary Kom should have gone instead of him, questioning what she added to the show.

He named Qazi Touqeer as the likely winner. The rest of the house, he told SCREEN, should play for second place, though he added that Qazi had once said something “very derogatory” to him that was never aired and kept defending it instead of accepting the mistake. Mahhi Vij got a sharper verdict in mid-day: she was “trying to be oversmart”.

Fans who watched his post-exit interviews mostly wished him well. One reply under a 179-upvote r/biggboss clip of his chat drew 29 upvotes:

“Aman is looking happy….and I wish apko accha kam mile bahar abhi”

As for work, he told SCREEN he wants to try OTT projects and hosting. He went into the show hoping it would lead to lead roles and award-show hosting, and he has said openly that follower counts now carry weight in casting.

Aman Gandhi and Shagun Sharma

Aman dated Shagun Sharma, who played his on-screen sister in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. She confirmed the relationship in November 2025 and said they had been seeing each other before the show began, the Indian Express reported, and the pair told the rest of the set after two months.

They have since split.

He told TellyChakkar the two had separated around January and February 2026, Times Now reported, and that things stayed awkward for some time. In a Bigg Boss promo he told Qazi the relationship was over but she was still the most special person in his life. After his exit he chose not to add to that, telling mid-day that Shagun had seemed uncomfortable discussing it in public and that it was not his right to talk about it.
