Introduction
“Chhaava” is an up-coming Indian Hindi-language Historical Action Drama film which is based on the life of Maratha king ‘Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje Shivajiraje Bhonsle (also known as Chhatrapati Shambhuraje). The lead character of Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje is played by Indian actor ‘Vicky Kaushal’. This film which is directed by Laxman Utekar is an adaptation of the Marathi novel “Chhava” by Shivaji Sawant.
Veteran Indian actor Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna are also seen in their respective lead main characters. The lyrics are written by Irshad Kamil and the music is composed by prominent music director A. R. Rahman. The dialogues of the film is written by Irshad Kamil & Rishi Virmani. “Chhaava” is all set for a grand release in the theatres across India on February 14th, 2025.
Initially, Laxman Utekar had discussed his upcoming film with Vicky Kaushal who was shooting for Laxman Utekar’s film “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke”. During the shoot, Vicky had accepted the role and in January 2023, Utekar did officially confirm that Vicky Kaushal would portray the role of ‘Chhatrapati Sambhaji’, marking “Chhaava” their second collaboration following “Zara Hatke Zara Bachke”.
