No national outlet has printed a birth year for Surabhi, Rani or Rhiti, and none of the three women has a Wikipedia article of her own. Manoj Tiwari was 55 as of September 2026, going by the birth date in his Wikipedia entry.
Surabhi Tiwari, Manoj Tiwari’s wife since 2020
Surabhi Tiwari grew up in Patna, where she also studied, and made her name as a singer in the Bhojpuri music industry, according to a 2021 profile by Asianet News Hindi. Before the wedding she handled the business side of his career. Amar Ujala called her the person who looked after his administrative work.
Manoj Tiwari has told the story himself. In a 2024 interview with the Couple of Things channel, summarized by Aaj Tak, he said Surabhi booked his shows, collected payments and even made out his invoices, until he began calling her the CEO.
He said he had no plan to marry again after his first marriage ended. By 2014 or 2015, though, he had decided that if he did marry, it would be her. He was an MP by then, and he said that in politics even sitting beside a woman sets people talking.
The couple married in April 2020, while India was under lockdown, and made no announcement. The marriage became known only when Surabhi gave birth to a daughter at the end of December 2020, Amar Ujala wrote in January 2021.
The exact wedding day depends on the source. India Forums gives 26 April 2020. Asianet News Hindi marked the first anniversary on 27 April 2021, the day Surabhi posted a wedding photo on Facebook with a note to her husband.
In it she wrote that she could not promise sunshine and rainbows, but could promise love and loyalty, and she wished him a quick recovery. He had Covid and was in isolation at the time, Asianet wrote.
The couple’s second daughter was born in December 2022. Manoj Tiwari announced it in a tweet carried by Hindustan Times: “It is with great pleasure that I inform that Saraswati has arrived in my house after Lakshmi.”
Surabhi Tiwari keeps an Instagram account, @surabhitiwariofficial_, which had about 206,000 followers on 26 September 2026. Its bio lists her as a mother, wife and daughter and as a company director.
Rani Tiwari, his first wife
Rani Tiwari was born Pratima Pandey and took the name Rani after marrying Manoj Tiwari in 1999, according to VARINDIA. In a profile on 9 September 2026, Aaj Tak said she works as a dietician and lives in Mumbai with her daughter Rhiti. The same profile said she has not married again.
Music was part of her life during the marriage. India Today called her “an aspiring singer” in 2011, and her husband pointed to her music as one source of friction between them.
She is also connected to Rhiti Sports, which both VARINDIA and Aaj Tak identify as the firm that manages cricketer MS Dhoni. VARINDIA wrote in 2021 that she serves on its board. A company summary on Tofler, drawn from Ministry of Corporate Affairs filings, lists a Pratima Pandey among the directors of Rhiti Sports Management Private Limited, a company incorporated on 10 August 2007. The filings do not say who founded it.
How the first marriage ended, in their own words
By Manoj Tiwari’s account, the divorce was his wife’s decision and he tried for more than a year to stop it. The record runs from early 2010 to 2012, told mostly in the two spouses’ own words at the time.
Rani sent him divorce papers through her lawyer in January 2010, he later told India Today. By August 2010 the couple were living apart, Rani in their Lokhandwala flat and Manoj in a separate home in Andheri, The Times of India found. Rani told the paper: “Which marriage does not have a problem? We had issues. We have issues.”
Manoj told the same paper that they had lived separately for five months but were “fine now.” He said someone had convinced Rani that he disapproved of her music, and that she wanted time alone because she felt he did not support it.
The reconciliation did not last. India Today wrote in July 2011 that the couple had filed for divorce by mutual consent at a family court in Mumbai, which gave them six months to settle their differences.
Manoj said he signed the papers on 22 June 2011 only because of “constant pressure” from his wife, and he made an unusual appeal to anyone who could change her mind. “I shudder at the prospect of living away from my wife and daughter,” he said.
Asked in the same report about talk linking him to actress Shweta Tiwari, his co-star in two Bhojpuri films and a fellow Bigg Boss 4 contestant, he answered: “I have not had any affair with Shweta.” Rani was not available for comment, India Today wrote.
The divorce became final in 2012, according to Wikipedia and Aaj Tak.
Speaking later to the BBC, in remarks Amar Ujala reprinted in 2021, Manoj said in Hindi that it was something he no longer wanted to remember and that “the decision to separate was hers.” He added that he met his daughter once or twice a month and prayed that Rani stayed happy.
Rhiti, who was a child at the time, gave her side on Bigg Boss 20 in September 2026. Speaking with actor Amrapali Dubey, she said she was eight when her parents “technically” separated and nine when the divorce was final, and that her father fought for her custody, India Forums wrote.
“I think mere dad ko bahut time tak umeed thi ki they will get back together,” she said, meaning her father hoped for a long time that they would reunite.
Manoj Tiwari’s daughters
Manoj Tiwari has three daughters. Rhiti Tiwari, the eldest and his only child with Rani, went to school at Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai.
